Great Western Railway

These images of decaying and neglected railway buildings, part of the GWR Swindon works, have a positive story: I took them shortly before the builders moved in to transform the site into a state of the art engineering academy, UTC Swindon. In 2015 the buildings are filled with light and bustling with students. The unique water tower has been restored and identifies the UTC across the surrounding townscape.
