Mandu portfolio The ancient city of Mandu was built above the plains of the Narmada River. In the 15th to the 17th centuries it flourished and produced a wealth of beautiful mosques, palaces and tombs based on Afghan architecture. Maheshwar portfolio Maheshwar is an important place of pilgrimage on the sacred Narmada River. The ghats (steps) by the river are the main focus for devotional activities.
Bhopal portfolio Sadly famous outside India only for its chemical disaster, Bhopal is in fact an attractive and cultured city with a historic centre and a huge market, the Chowk. Orchha portfolio A fortified town on the Betwa River, full of palaces, temples and cenotaphs, Orchha was founded in the 16th century and devastated in the 17th, leaving only a small population and an extraordinary architectural heritage.
