300 visit the Artweeks show
07th June 2010
By my calculations about 300 people visited my Oxfordshire Artweeks exhibition in The Bell, Charlbury, during the last two weeks in May. I spent some happy hours minding it at weekends, making a lot of new friends and selling some pictures.
The Visitors' Book is full of valuable feedback. I appreciated the comment 'pictures lack emotion and depth' as much as 'they evoke a wonderful emotional response and are full of atmosphere' (obviously you don't get through to everyone). Some useful specifics were 'love the clean, goemetric designs'; 'stillness and warmth'; 'amazing colours and masterly composition'; 'very personal views'; 'vivid, exciting ... really draw you in'.
And thank you to 'John L' for 'very well hung' ...
If you'd like to be on the mailing list for the next show, please drop me a line.
